I was very outspoken about Pelini early in the year. I'll give him credit for believing in the system and making the players believe. I also think he made some adjustments and put more pressure on the QB's. This defense might rank up there with the NC defense. What do you think?
That wouldn't be shocking. I think his defenses have been in the top 5 in the country 3 of the last 4 years including this year.
That was the ONLY reason I didn't want Pellini as our DC... I knew that he would do a great job and be gone in a couple of seasons. I hope he likes it at LSU and wants to stay around a bit, he's a great DC! I think that the DL is great, of course, but our secondary STILL could have been better throughout the season. They played good enough when it counted though. Overall 2003's "D" was a lot better than this year's "D" but it was a damn good "D" none the less,
The thing I liked about this "D" as with the '03 team was the pressure they put on the QB and the running game.
Pelini has done a much better job changing up his system at times this year. But...then again...wait until we lose (IF WE LOSE I should say) next year and everyone will pile on yet again
