what happened to the posters that were saying this line

with all the qb threads its seems fitting to ask the question

its not just the qb spot we are having growing pains at a number of key spots even the ones that were supposed to be all world

it aint all about randal and russel
more problem areas than any of us expected

    Wide Receivers

Look at USuck, they struggled their first few games with the same crooked-eyed QB as last year.
Yes we have other problems as well.

I think the offensive line isn't quite as good as last year at this point of the season, we thought they'd be better.
I don't think we thought our D would miss as many tackles as they have.

Not to mention we have new inexperienced WR's like USuck does.
Last I saw Reggie Bush is the only one catching passes for them right now!'

We're going to have to have some patience folks.
Even Florida struggled the part of the year last year with the freshman at QB
and he is more polished and better than JR from what I understand!

I've posted that basic line before, just as "we need a QB that can manage a game, not an all star". Any team just needs a guy who can sit in the pocket and make smart reads and decisions. For example we don't need an all world QB for LSU to be successful, just a guy who won't throw INTs and take risks that loses us field position. For the most part LSU does not need 50 pts a game to win, because our D gives up around 14 pts a game.

Surely the rest of the O needs to get up to speed, lineman blocking, RBs running hard, and WR catching . . . no QB (no matter how outstanding) can make those other positions perform those duties. That is why I have a hard time blaming either QB for our offensive problems lately.

Then again, maybe LSU does need an all world QB to just win games. I don't know . . . it was just an opinion.
