What seems to bother me a bit more is the defense this year. Have they been overhyped by the press and the skewed stats in the early part of the season? Or is it due to the loss of Charles Alexander and other injuries? They seemed to be giving up some big plays in recent games, and susceptible to the passing attack from opponents. Is it the scheme, or is it due to players missing assignments. They are good, but not seem to be as dominating and impressive. Yet at times the defense seems to show flashes of brilliance and stepped up performance in the final minutes in stopping the opponents from coming back in close games.

This biggest change Ive seen since the first 4 games is that LSU doesn't attack (blitz) nearly as much. I don't know the reason, but that's the biggest reason why we're not as affective.

Early in the year, we weren't giving opposing quarterbacks the time to find a receiver. That led to many TO and QBs getting benched for poor play. Now QBs are getting plenty of time to throw, and no matter how good your secondary is, you can't cover a WR for that long.
