With the blitzes we have been running, our great coverage, and our tackling lately - especially in the 2nd half against Bama - what do you think our defense would do against ASU's passing attack if we played them now?

I for one think they'd still hit a few plays but Keller would be on his back much more, and their passing yardage would be cut roughly in half.

yeah it would be a better outing for us....we have gelled as a defense since then but yeah then again they are down to there second string qb so that could mean a difference ....even though they have had some success with him....

I didn't realize Keller was hurt... I think with either QB in there, they wouldn't come close to 31 points on the defense we've been fielding the past few weeks.

Our defense now versus ... Phatz Phulmer and Tennessee ... Regrets just knowing how easily this could be the case!

With LSU sitting undefeated and ranked #2 ... wait a second, that would require that LSU actually has an offense capable of scoring more than 30 points per game and playing up to their potential ... On second thought ... Don't mention the offense ... that's another thread!

Kudos to the defense! Hail LSU FB! Hail Defense!

Ramah would be saying that we need to score more than 34.8 points per game if our average were a little higher.

Poor Georgia if Ramah were a bulldog fan. Too bad Georgia is only good enough to get to the SECCG.

When was the last time, outside of Spurrier's Gators, that an SEC team consistently put up 30+ points per game in conference play?

I know what you're saying about our talent on offense but defenses in the SEC are just sick. Ask Urban Meyer.

Your excuses for poor offensive output with this talent doesn't wash ... your posting proves my point ... look who is number 1 ... Auburn :dis:

As for GA making the SECCG ... just look at Florida and Tennessee ... how'd those also-ran teams stack up against LSU?

It all comes down to coaching, playcalling and execution thereafter! LSU has been measured and found wanting ... amazing, but Spurrier with NOTHING is putting up 24 a game. No excuses can be made for an LSU offense (Preseason Top 1-3) that cannot score points.

There is simply no acceptable reason that this team is not scoring close to 40 points per game and leading the SEC ... it's poor coaching and playcalling and a failure to execute a vertical passing attack.

Playing Matt Flynn a few series each game is the answer! Play the man who can execute the vertical passing attack and score TDs!
