For those who think I kiss George Bush's butt, I don't.
I'm outraged by his non-actions at our borders and his comments about
    the minutemen being called vigilantees.
After September 11th he called for citizens to get involved to help in anyway
they can, if I remember right.

I don't understand why our government and or President Bush seems to be kissing president Fox's butt, we are the super power.
The more I hear about this subject the more it looks like the arrogance of Fox
    and Mexico is Unreal.
They give their citizens flyers on how to get to America!

I just got an envelope from the RNC that I will send back empty handed with a note saying, Not until our borders are secure, northern and southern.

Homeland Security and anything else we try and do is worthless until our borders are secure and under our control! :911: :usaflagwa

I'm sure they'll be crushed by that missing $2.50 and a box of envelopes.

The sad fact is, closing the borders and clamping down on illegal immigration would be the best thing, long-term, for both our countries, all of the Americas, and all of the people involved.

It would force Mexico and other Latin American nations to finally confront their serious internal socio-economic and infrastructure problems head on, instead of exporting them to the U.S. And the documentation and regulation of incoming Mexican immigrants and guest workers would help those workers get a much better deal on wages and benefits that would also allow the American worker to stay competitive in the workforce, rather than being out-classed by $1.50 per hour, cash-only, no benefits Mexican slave labor.

I'll make a super-long post later about what I think should be done about immigration. Read it if you're into that sort of thing.

You guys still don't have me figured out yet.
I've watched 2 minutes of Hannity since the Terri Shiavo situation ended.
I've watched maybe 2 hours of Fox News only, since then.
The news and some things going on are just to depressing to watch so I don't bother.

I don't listen to Savage, I listen to Rush, Mike Rosen, Denvers sports zoo on occasion.
My beliefs are from what I heard the president say after 9/11 and how he changed his mind since then.
I saw him call the minutemen vigilantees and I've seen some interviews of the minutemen.

I listen to Matt Drudge on occasion also.
    End of my story!
P.S. The reason I brought this up now and not months or years ago is because of the minuteman and the situation down there.
I also thought the president was for "controlled" borders until his recent comments.

Bush is all about what is good for big business. Always has been. The American people are overwhelmingly against easy access through our borders. It is difficult to understand Bush's position here or what he is trying to gain by this. I suspect he feels that cheap illegal labor from Mexico helps keep the unions down and makes for more corporate profits. Lots of money has been made in Texas by using illegal foreign labor.

But Bush is swimming against the tide this time.
