a 30 is great, but come on man...you can do better than a 2.4 i look back at high school now and think "what a freakin' joke..that was so damn easy" take advantage of high school if you have already made a 30 on the ACT...you can raise that GPA and save a lot of $$$$
yeh i just didnt give a **** about school up unitl junior year, this year. Im making A's and B's currently....not exactally what I made Fresh - Soph (F's - C's)...then i woke up and said hey i wanna go to college, so now im kickin it into high gear
I do know there is typically a sliding scale when it comes to GPA and ACT. If you can get it to a 2.5 you shouldn't have a porb at all. You would probably still get in with the 2.4 and the 30 ACT score. I many scholarships will be available with the GPA. YOu might can get stuff like Work Study, although I have gotten screwed out of work study for 4 years now. I know many people in similar finacial situations as me get work study. All I can figure is I am not a minority, I am middle class, my parents aren't divorced. Too rich to get help but too poor to be rolling in the cash.
LSU is a harder school to get into these days. With a 2.4 and a 30(if that is what you got) you will probably get in. In 10 years or maybe even 5, you probably wouldn't because of the 2.4...Where else are you applying?
also applying to uno, ull, & tech took act in sept and got a 30 composite our college counselor gave us a worksheet on how to figure out our core gpa so thats how im getting my gpa...and the way things are going in school now i should land in the 2.4 region also if your parents are graduates, does that have any effect on acceptance?
Yes, having family that graduated helps a lot. In high school, I half assed it a lot. I mean, I did very well, but for what I was capabable of, I didn't do like I should have. I got to college and put it completely in high gear. Not to sound like your father or anything, but it sounds like you are starting to realize that grades are important. Carry that over to college and you will do great...You shouldn't have a problem getting into LSU....Once you are there though, having parents that graduated from LSU won't help you getting into the business school or into Law School...
