http://oregonstate.theinsiders.com/2/289962.html Few funny things here... They give slight edge to LSU rb's...."slight edge"? OSU gets the edge at TE..."LSU's tight-ends are great at blocking, but not much else." Nice. WR's are an equal..."Yes, Skyler Green is a playmaker, but so is Mike Hass. Each team is young at this position and will rely on their youth to provide them with plays. " Which is funny because LSU put together the best WR classes in the NCAA in back to back years...so that's just funny. Dline is an equal...basically they say both teams replace players and Swancutt equals Spears...this is another funny one. LB's are given to OSU because they have more depth and experience? They are starting a JUCO kid...and so is LSU? LSU's two others are returning from the #1 d in NCAA. Secondary they put as a tie...which I know is one of their strengths...but c'mon....Secondary is gernerally agreed by everyone to be LSU's team strength going into this year.
Those are High Hopes ... hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm and they got hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh hopes, they're just lame Pac-Tennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn dopes, But they got hi-i-igh hopes, they got hi-i-igh hopes, They got high apple pi-i-ie-in-the-sk-y-y hopes. So, every time Anderson's laid low, keep on hollrin' mo, just remember to rant Oops, there he goes down ... poor Ole Anderson just can't But he had hi-i-igh hopes, he had hi-i-igh hopes He had high apple pi-i-ie-in-the-sk-y-y hopes ... Oops, there goes another LSU sack ... but he had hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh ....
Hahahahahaha. A RB voted 6th for the Heisman gives LSU a "slight edge." AHAHAHAHAHAH:rofl:
I love this schmuck's reasoning! We have a D-line, they have a D-line. Push! We have three runnin backs, they have three runnin backs. Push! Oh wait, one of their runnin backs had 1,000+ yards in limited action last season including SEC championship and Sugar Bowl MVP under his belt. OK maybe a SLIGHT edge to LSU? Amazing! :dis:
Here's my 2 cents: OSU O Line vs. LSU D Line Ad- LSU, we have a great D line, they have a few new starters OSU Backfield vs. LSU LB's Even, they have a good QB, new RB, we have good LB's OSU WR's vs. LSU DB's Ad- LSU, the best set of CB's in the nation v one proven WR and a bunch of newbies OSU D Line vs. LSU O Line Even, they have a veteran dline, we have a veteran oline with a few new faces OSU LB's vs. LSU Backfield Ad- LSU, Vincent, Broussard and the rest of our RB's make this a big LSU advantage OSU DB's vs. LSU WR's Ad- OSU, they have DB's, we have some questions. I hope they are answered Sat. night.
My position Breakdown QB - Oregon State - Huge Lead RB - LSU - Huge Lead OL - LSU - Huge Lead WR - LSU - Slight Lead TE - Oregon State - Slight Lead DL - LSU - Huge Lead LB - Oregon State - Slight Lead DB - LSU - Medium Lead, although Browner is a good one. ST - LSU - Medium Lead, due to coverage and returning units. Dan Norz, in my mind, is a pretty big homer. Even if Oregon State returned Steven Jackson, I would say a push or give a slight lead(at RB) to LSU because of the talent and depth at LSU.(Although Jackson,as of now, is better than Vincent) This quote made me burst out laughing in Middleton Library. "Bill Swancutt is one of the best ends in the country. Marcus Spears is becoming one of the best ends in the country." His DB breakdown is also flawed and homerized.
I just want to know when Trev Alberts started posting on the Oregon State boards? That had to be the worst position by position analysis I think I've ever seen.
You guy's are just as bias as the Oregon State fans are. How do you even try to make comparisions when this is a different year and nobody's played a down yet. Another question I have for you guys is, what position do any of guys play on the team?
I play the "pay the bills" position, which gives me to right to judge talent and ability through my ticket purchase, kind of like mark cuban or "the boss" just to a lesser extent, haha
besides, if you are justifying your position judging on who's returning for both teams, and that seems to pretty even as far as losses for both teams in a lot of the same places, you have to give LSU the edge, 13-1 vs. 8-5 gives LSU the edge on returners. Not to mention it would be a stretch to say OSU's recruits were all of the same level as LSU's because of the comparison in quality between the last three recruiting classes of the two schools.
