Saban said all preseason that there was a feeling of complacency on the team esp. with the younger players. This game went exactally like I hoped it would. It exposed all our our weaknesses to our players and will light a fire under their ass (along with CNS) that we have never before seen. Overcoming through adversity has forced the team mentallity that we had last year to gel instantly. This game made leaders and set accountability. This will be the best week of practice LSU has ever had. If we had won by the spred then I think we would have lost 1 or 2 games over the course of the season as we had not had a trial by fire but now I don't think our team will walk into a single game overconfident or unprepared and will walk in without fear. I salute Oregon State for a well played and well coached game. They exploited our weaknesses but gave us the greatest gift we will recieve all season. A win that makes every LSU player redouble their effort and commitment.

Nah ... the best thing happened Saturday Night was the lightning!

1958 - Legend has it that lightning struck the practice field prior to kickoff. Back in those days, men weren't afraid of a little bad weather, so there was no lightning delay! NATIONAL CHAMPS

2003 - Lightning delay against ULM! NATIONAL CHAMPS

2004 - Lightning delay against OSU! NATIONAL CHAMPS?
