we hand wrapped that game for AU in many ways. Yet JC made the plays when he was forced to.

Yes, the officials hosed us. Thats obvious but you have to care of business before it gets to that point. AU is better than most think yet they are a bottom 10 team at best....probably 10-15.

i agree we had a number of chances to close that thing out and did not take advantage of them and thats on us
but the refs could have made the same call earlier in the game and did not call it till the game was on the line
thats why i said a gift to auburn from the sec's finest

I've always had a major problem with judgement calls determining the outcome of the game--especially on the last play.

You would think it would be an unwritten rule to now tamper with a play--ESPECIALLY if you're not 100% positive that what you saw was illegal.

The outcome of sporting events shouldn't be decided by someone that's NOT competing. At one point, it was an unwritten rule that you should let the players decide the game on the last play....Sports in general are getting away from that and giving WAY TOO Much power to the officials.

Why don't we just start giving the victory to the team that wins the coin toss...

It wasn't the last play. The last play was actually Campbell taking the knee after Rosegreen intercepted a bad pass from Russell.

The rule is in the book and it wasn't even a judgement call...it was blatant. At least it wasn't a wrong call like in the UT/UF game. Saban was even on the committee that passed the rule so he knew it too.

Blame that on the officials until you're purple in the face...you guys are starting to sound like UAT fans. You're better than that and you know it.

Hence the reason I said purple and not blue. :)
