Saw this on another forum. Start up a thread post game and let anybody with a gripe, valid or otherwise, get their 2 cents in. No preaching from P&G eyeglass wearers. On Tuesday morning, the thread disappears and we move on to the next game. Whaddya think?

I think this is a great idea actually. (Depite our differences Sabanfan ;-)). I dont think we should call out players though. We all need to remember these are kids. So I am not a fan of bashing players. Its a free country and forum but I think ripping on an 18 or 19 year old kid is kind of uncalled for. But thats just me

PS - I am not suggesting either that your thread said that either.

I love the idea and it could be called somthing like, "Post game observations -venting". It won't work though, we have an Official Game thread each week and people like to post "Stuff" that could easily go into that one.

The problem would lie with people wanting specific feedback on a certain aspect and I'd guess that most don't want their point of contingency buried in the middle somewhere.

I wish we could have a designated person to do the polls each week, that would save a lot of duplicate threads.

    i agree.

and i would suggest that we call it the jenni carlson memorial thread, but that would REQUIRE calling out and ridiculing players.

*note: jenni carlson is the hack reporter for the oklahoman that called out a player in an "article" which caused mike gundy to go postal.

I voted before reading, and now I think I've changed my mind.

So one thread for people to complain on and no other points of view allowed? If some one is upset with something, they have that right, but they should also see why some people aren't upset about it.

That was just a suggestion. We could include opposing points of view. In fact, that would make it a very entertaining thread.

Tiga: Naturally there will be some venting or complaining on other threads but it would be a lot more limited than it is now. Besides, I think a lot of us just need to vent, especially in the heat of the moment, and this thread would be a place to do it. I'm not talking about legitimate topics like should Flynn be pulled because he's hurt or something like that. I'm talking about stuff like Flynn sholdn't be in there because he's proven he can't run the team or Miles will never win a Championship because Tennessee came back to beat us in OT.

Not that it isn't a bad idea but lately the mods have done a good job of moving/combining threads. There are so many posters with so many different ideas and opinions that keeping them all on one thread would be difficult at best. Some posters have not figured out yet that their sig photos are TOO BIG.
