In no way shape or form am I talking bad about Bama. I personally think they have a decent team. Good enough to hang with LSU, not so much. Anyway, my only main question is if LSU wipes the table with Alabama Saturday does that make us good? I read on another post...

and it seems that with every next game we play the next opposing fans are saying the same thing about the previous. And what does it mean when Ole Miss fans bring you up next week as our 7th? The only game we have won that has been even close was UGA. So if we barely won all those other games would our wins mean more/less?

Last, our running backs? I don't know much about Bama football nor do I care to, so I don't expect you to know much about LSU. BUT if you do know LSU football have you seen our running backs? The 3 running backs you are probably referring to are all freshmen and if they each had as many carries as S. Williams I'm willing to bet our guys would have the same if not more rushing yards and touchdowns.

Bama fans, feel free to rebuttal.

I thought that you had a very good team before the season started. Picked LSU or Ark to win the west. Knew that tubbie would tank the barners.
It's all about respect, not smack.
But you still haven't beaten Bama. Take your best shot, the better team will win.

So are you saying we will get respect if we beat Bama? Respect from Bama or respect from the nation? What is trying to be said is
we are the # 3 team in the nation and we do play in the SEC as does Bama, but each week we get no respect because we have not played (insert team here). We can't do anything about the teams we played out of the SEC when they cancel games and we have to pick up whoever we can, but when we do play these teams (this year) we have DOMINATED them, something say a Ohio State team can't say.
To show very little respect to our team is a big mistake, any team
in our position would want the same.

LSU is just very fortunate this year that they got Western Illinois and not Northern Illinois. Right, Tiders?!

    One question

I'm not sure about all the trash talk that has been going on. I will say that most Bama fans I talk to have nothing but respect for LSU.

I don't know what LSU backs would do behind our line. We'll never know. All I can say is I have immense respect for Shaud and what he's accomplished I think Coach Saban takes a similar point of view. He's a top flight back and while the line is banged up they've gelled better than I expected in the last few weeks.

I see a good game coming on Saturday. We have played the good teams very hard. OU, Ark and UT were all battles. Its the last home game for our Seniors and everything coming out of the Capstone is that they are very hyped to play a top5 team.

If we lose you'll have the same amount of respect from me as you had on Friday and thats a lot!

I'm glad this post hasn't turned in to bickering. Very good replies. Just to let you bama fans know the respect goes both ways ( in other words we are respecting you too)....You keep saying we better respect Bama and thats all Nick Saban and the team have done since 24 hours past La Tech. Trust me, we aren't looking over you, nor do we even need revenge from last year, and all those stats are for the birds, all that matters is what happens Saturday.

Yeah I read Saban's quote. On a side note I was not very happy coach Fraud played the game he did last year blaming Coach Saban for that fake letter. Evidently our players didn't like it either when they found out. Smiley said fraud really built it up even though he knew it was bs. Coach Saban has continued to be a class act by trying to downplay this and just talking football. He realizes its an issue started by a coach no longer with us therefor its worthless to bring up.

Well Saban also said that some of the Bama players were cussing at him last year during warmups, so this can still be personal.

If thats true it was before they knew fraud bs'd them. I have read more than a few comments from players saying they didn't appreciate it. Cheap coaches use cheap methods to get their kids up for games. This is an example of one of those times and one of those coaches.

I'm sure LSU really needs the respect of Mikey "Weedy" Shula and the rest of the NCAA Chain Gang Convicts.

If we shut down the Alabama running game to less than 100 yards, do we get respect from RB "WEEDY" Hudson.

Please tell us as I'll not be able to sleep tonight unless I know for sure.
