"After today, I am going to move on and not worry about Perrilloux and focus on other recruiting issues at LSU. LSU is much bigger than Ryan Perrilloux and the Tigers are going to be very good without him. I wish Perrilloux the best and I hope he will be happy finishing second or third each year in the Big 12.

    No sour feelings here huh?

Good luck and enjoy mediocraty! from me as well.

    Clueless Don

On 24July Donald Long aka Dandy Don wrote on his web-site, "I thought as late as two weeks ago that Ryan Perrilloux was a lock to sign with LSU because of what my sources at E ST John kept telling me. I guess I just bleed purple and gold, but I cannot see why a great prospect from the state of Louisiana would rather play for Mack Brown than Nick Saban. I also believe Jimbo Fisher is heads and shoulders above offensive coordinator Gregg Davis of Texas."

As a tiger alum ('70-'75) I would like to point out that Don Long is in no way associated with LSU. Unfounded personal attacks on the coaches and staffs of competing universities serve no purpose. And denigrating the decision of a recruit to choose a competing program shows a lack of class. IMHO

OK guys, it was just two bowls ago that LSU and Texas played. I'll let you look up who won. Oh, and Saban is a great defensive coach. Fisher? Perhaps a good coach with great athletes.

I don't see that comment as a personal attack on the Texas coaches nor a denigration of Ryan Perrilloux. It is simply a comparison of coaching staffs where Don expresses the opinion shared by most of us that the Texas coaching staff falls way short of Nick Saban and his assistants.

Where's the personal attack? Dandy said that Saban/Fischer are better than Brown/Davis. That's just his opinion.

Anyone who gets offended by DD is way too sensitive.
