One more trophy - LSU also received the MacArthur Bowl from the College Football Hall of Fame. The MacArthur Bowl has been presented to every national champion since 1959, the year after LSU won its first national title. The trophy, named for the late Gen. Douglas MacArthur, will be displayed at LSU for a short period before returning to the Hall of Fame. Look in the section labeled "One More Trophy" from this link
We can argue all day along about who the real champ is, but in the end LSU and USC will go down in the history books as co-champs. Yeah, it sucks ... but it is what it is!
Not in my opinion - and its just that - an opinion. But, if you look at the facts, you can't argue who is the true champion. You can say what you want as well, but I can say its my team thats got one of the trophies the every national champion has gotten since 1959.
You and I don't write the history books ... just like all the other split national champions, LSU and USC will be next to them!
This is exactly why I was clamoring for a Michigan win. I knew this was going to happen if USuCk won and well, it has. Every single publication nationally is calling us both co-champs which in my mind is a total disgrace. LSU is the better team, hands down, but it doesnt matter because the records will always indicate a split championship. I'm going to enjoy it nonetheless.
