The only thing that made this improvised pregame tolerable was that as the team was running back into the locker room after warm-ups I got to high five some of the players; one of which was Devrey Henderson. On another note, I've always wanted to high five one of our receivers after a touchdown pass right before halftime. This past Saturday, with less than a minute left in the 2nd quater and LSU less than 20 yards from the goal line, myself and a few other band members were kneeling down only six feet away from the corner of the endzone. I was positive Clayton or Henderson was going to run right into that corner and catch a pass for six points; then Mauck threw that interception....... ruined my dreams. Becides, had I high fived the receiver, the refs probably would have called an excessive celebration penalty on us.
