Can't say I'm shocked to hear these comments. Sort of getting use to these hollywood types going to other countries to bash ours.
I have no idea how someone could ever think: "Hey, this whacky movie director (essentially a modern day court jester) has some thoughts on something other than movies. Let's record and report on his insight."
Exactly. The converse is equally puzzling. "I can't stand this guy's politics, so his movies can't be any good".
While I am sure they are people out there that somehow equates someones creative abilities with their political views, I one of those in the camp that says, "he may be a great director, but as long as he is saying the idiotic things he is saying, I refuse to support him financially by seeing his product." Sean Penn can be thrown into that category...
I am the opposite of everyone here. If someone makes crappy movies I disagree with their politics. See Kevin Costner.
Stone is totally wrong here, like most Liberals he fails to understand that you can't reason with these religious terrorists that want to kill infidels. I think he is saying that we should reason with Al Quada and the terrorists the way the British and Spanish did. That won't work because these people won't listen to reason, they would rather kill and destroy because it is like a sport to them. Look at all the outrage in the extremist countries today about what the pope said, they shot and killed an innocent nun.
You're just now coming to this conclusion? Guest what? It has always been like this. Some people align with a party and follow it right down to the way their politicians act. Others, and I would like to be thrown into this category, align with a party but are able to sift through the crap that comes through the different parties...
