In my opinion, one of the worst losses I've ever seen was the 1997 loss to Ole Miss the week after we beat Florida. I sat in the student section and the top 15-20 rows were empty. It was the most shameful fan support I've ever seen in Tiger football. (In basketball it had to be when #1 Arizona came to LSU last year)

Ole Miss fans are already by Auburn and crowing about a "showdown" with LSU. Their team has a little work to do this weekend.

It's just so funny that they hate us so much, and it just pisses them off that we don't care about them.

The intellectual quality of this board is not stellar, but after reading the comments on the Ole Miss board, our posts look like Pulitzer Prize winners.

Any real LSU fan holds an infamous hatred deep in their hearts for Ole Miss.

Tuberville and his snide comments after our 37-31 loss in overtime in Oxford in the DiNardo years, or the classic 20-9 pounding we gave Deuce and Joe "The Weed Smoka" Gunn on the road at Vaught-Hemingway in 2000.

To be honest, though, you should hate them because traditionally, whether you like it or not, Ole Miss is LSU's biggest rival. Bigger than Tulane, bigger than Arkansas, bigger than Auburn.

The State Legislature of Mississippi put up a sign at taxpayer expense on the border along an interstate highway. It read, "Welcome to Mississippi. Set your clocks back 4 seconds."

This is a result of some "home-cooking" LSU's timekeeper gave them in order to throw a last second touchdown pass in Death Valley to top the Rebels in the past.

Ole Miss and LSU regularly were the top teams in the country in the late 50's and early 60's, and each year, they battled not only for Southeastern Conference supremacy, but national supremacy as well. It was a much anticipated, and much hated rivalry.

Blood boiled on both sides of the gridiron, and sometimes, that bad blood boiled over.

For anyone to say that we don't care about the Ole Miss Rebels is to ignore the very history and tradition of LSU itself. The Halloween runback, Archie getting sacked with a half-body armcast on in the endzone, the 35-24 inexplicable debacle in 2001, perhaps the lost that left the worst taste in the mouths of LSU fans the entire year.

Do not downplay the Rebel's importance to LSU, its football team, it's history, and its very football tradition...

ok, yes there is history, but thats history, we still hate Ole Miss but the students of today don't care as much about this rivalry as we do those of Auburn and Arkansas. These are the teams we love to hate on campus these days. Even Florida doesn't seem so big anymore and I grew up watching Spurrier take it to us. So I absolutely hate Florida but I guess the ties to the west make my hatred worse for the other two!

I live here in Mississippi and I can tell you it is much more of a rival to Ole Miss fans than it is to LSU fans. Mississippi fans season is complete as long as they defeat LSU. They HATE the Tigers like alot of us hate AU or Arky.

Someone needs to call the Ole Piss fans and tell them to keep up with the news about their team. The SEC has already told CBS that they have to take the OLE Piss LSU game if it is for the SEC WEST. That means they would have to lose to Auburn and we would have to lose to Bama for the game in Oxford to be at night. But I can understand its been since 1963 that they have been a factor so I guess I will let it go.

You know what sucks is I cant root for Auburn and those guys just irritate me so I guess I will just sit back and see what happens.
