I went to Oxford this year to see our Tigers play. Most of the Rebel fans were cool but some just outright hate LSU. I had to listen to numerous jokes and stereotypes but realized that most were just angry because their teams are usually inferior to ours.

One guy was bragging to me about their coach. I replied, Mike Bianco...he's an LSU guy. This guy had a confused look on his face because he had no clue Bianco had played at LSU. I wish I had a picture of his face when another Ole Miss fan confirmed my comment. :hihi:

Their fans were talking about hosting a regional and super and even discussing how to get tickets to the CWS. The LSU fans there were talking about how we have the talent but just need time for them to come together as a team.

Who would have believed that a week or so later, Ole Miss would start to fall apart and LSU would put it all together?

Wasn't Ole Miss ranked #2 to start the season? I still like Bianco but for those hateful fans....:eek:lefire: !

Not sure about preseason, but at one time they were ranked #4 and the local sports news really played it up and the talk radio was full of calls about the "Ole Miss road to Omaha."
