Yea, and they have the nerve to come here and post all that coonass and inbreeding crap. What else should we expect them to do with a school of losers and a town of ignorants.
It's funny, LSU gets a lot of heat for being vicious to opposing teams fans. Yet I've only heard two overly bad incidents occurring at Tiger Stadium this year (one of a Georgia fan being turned over and rolled in a port-o-john and another of a group of Louisiana Tech fans who were cursed at and had drinks dumped on them). Yet the reports I've heard coming out of Oxford are just frightening. I hope Ole Miss does something about it, and I hope everyone hears about it, so that they know LSU is no worse than, and probably a lot better than, some other places for unruly fan behavior and hostile environment. It is up to us not to let this story die, but to carry it around as a warning.
tell you what, i had a great time at the game met some cool folks from ole miss. i saw some idiots, both ours and theirs. otherwise, just saw pretty much the same things that happen during a typical college football game tailgate
I saw and heard Lsu fans harassing and being very rude to the ole miss band. They were getting in their faces and telling them that they sucked and were stupid and were throwing things at them. These same fans were also being rude to everyone else around them to the point that fellow tiger fans were getting upset with them.
And God looked down and saw what was happening and send the Archangels to smite them. 1 Samuel 4:11 And the SEC Championship was taken; and the son of Eli Archibald Manning, Eli, was slain by the Tigers. 1 Samuel 4:12 And there ran a man of Birmingham out of the SEC front office, and came to Oxford the same day with his clothes rent, and with earth upon his head. 1 Samuel 4:13 And when he came, lo, Elijah sat upon a seat by the wayside watching with his headset on: for his heart trembled for the Heisman Trophy. And when the man came into the city, and told them the bad news, all the city cried out. 1 Samuel 4:14 And when Eli heard the noise of the crying, he said, What meaneth the noise of this tumult? And the man came in hastily, and told Eli. 1 Samuel 4:15 Now Eli was ninety and eight years old; and his eyes were dim, and his fingernails were CHEWED TO THE QUICK. 1 Samuel 4:16 And the man said unto Eli, I am he that came out of the SEC Front Office, and I fled today out of the bedlam. And he said, What is there done, my son? 1 Samuel 4:17 And the messenger answered and said, Arkansas has fled before the Tigers, and there hath been also a great slaughter among the Razorbacks, and thy son Eli is dead, and the Heisman Trophy will never come to the house of Manning. 1 Samuel 4:18 And it came to pass, when he made mention of the Heisman trophy and its' loss to the house of Manning, Elijah Archibald Manning fell from off the seat backward by the side of the gate, and his neck brake, and he died: for he was an old man, and heavy. And he had waited forty years. Amen!
I'm not saying what is posted about bad Ole Miss fan behavior didn't happen. I was there from sunup 'til sundown. Had an absolute blast. Some were unfriendly but no one made us feel uncomfortable. We would have kicked their @ss if they had !
Somebody rolled a UGA fan in a port o can? Damn that is horrible and way past any acceptable lines of rivalry. I'd have to kill someone for doing that to me.
I saw one group of LSU fans being very rude and cursing every ole miss fan that walked by. Other than that, all of our fans seemed very well-behaved. I saw plenty of rude behavior by ole miss fans, however. It started on my way to oxford Friday night. Two stupid ole miss fans were flipping off everyone they saw with LSU flags, cutting them off, slamming on their brakes and blocking traffic. Really classy, if you ask me. Friday night there were plenty of insults being tossed around by the ole missers. Saturday was the worst, of course. I heard several ole miss kids who looked to be between the ages of 8-12 cursing LSU fans as they walked by. The supposed "adult" ole miss fans were even worse. Several of the campus police were acting like complete jerks, although a group inside the stadium were very friendly when I asked for help finding my seats. After the game, a wonderful ole miss girl grabbed one of my friends and proclaimed "Cobbs is going to run for 300 yards on your MF asses, and we're going to the SECCG anyway". You have to love that ole miss optimism. This was my first trip to oxford. It will not be my last, because when LSU is in town, I will be there. my suggestion to anyone out there considering going in 2005, either stay in Memphis or drive up the day of the game, you can get your fill of the ole miss/oxford experience in about 5 minutes. Anything longer becomes nauseating.
The worst part is that small childern are all around watching this crap. If fans just do their part and report the real animals ... we can all help Bertie keep a lid on the zoo ... costs down ... more $$$ for LSU FB and THE WINNING PROGRAM.
