  1. Re: New Coach

I feel kind of reluctant taking a coach from another SEC school, particularly one from our own division. But I'd probably seriously consider Saban, Tubberville, Spurrier, and any other high level coach that was interested in coaching at LSU.

    You are getting abusive.
  3. Re: New Coach

 I wouldn't wish Tepper on anybody!!! That's a flashback to the twilight zone.
  4. Re: New Coach

Saban and Tubby can enjoy Alabama for all I care... I don't care how good they are... I would hate to see either on our sidelines. Spurrier is a little easier for me to accept because the ass thumpin' we took in 01 to him is a distant memory. I just don't see a lot of young up and comers out there to choose from.

And now that I think of it... has LSU ever nutted up and spent a ton of money to bring a coach in? We will probably hire someone from the same mid level BCS program like Saban and Miles were...
  5. Re: What about Tuberville?

I don't think TT is LSU Tiger material.. I'd love for us to get Muschamp back as DC though.
  6. Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

And with him having NFL exerience how can you say some other team won't come calling to get him back into the show a few years down the road?
  7. Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

Spurrier fits that description, and I'd have been happy to take him three years ago when we hired Miles. My main problem with him is his age. I just don't see him staying past five years, and I could see him leaving sooner if we won a MNC before then. Spurrier might not leave LSU for another job, but he sure as hell might leave for the golf course. I also think he's a bit behind the times on offensive schemes, but am willing to take the risk on that given his past and gameday abilities.
  8. Re: Les to Michigan already underway??

I'm OK with five years. Let's take Spurrier and O-geron as DC :)

  9. Re: What about Tuberville?

Im not sure I would go that far but I would certainly give TT to LSU a resounding NO
