Oklahoma and the BCS Championship Game are all that matter

OU is going to have one big chip on their shoulder after about a month's worth of press that they should not be there, and they are going to want to prove themselves worthy. We all know they have a ton of talent.

I do not agree with the BCS final standings just as I did not agree with the standings last week when LSU was going to be possibly left out. But that is not OU's fault just as it was not USC's fault last week. Most importantly it is not LSU's fault.

It is all over for now. We got what we wanted by LSU earning a birth to the Sugar Bowl. We are going to face a very good team that is going to come in with an attitude and something to prove. It is going to be a game to remember for a long time.

My focus now is going to be solely on OU and not the Rose Bowl. I do not care anymore whether USC wins or loses. I just want LSU to beat OU. If we win we will win the BCS Championship which has been the sole focus for everyone this entire season. The AP would be great as well and still may happen regardless of Rose Bowl outcome, but if I had to chose between playing for the BCS title or playing for the AP title I choose the BCS. There will be no split as far as the BCS is concerned.

The Rose Bowl has #1 v. #4 in it.......It is now the premire NC Championship game. The BCS has been revealed to be a farce, by all of us on this site, just last week. The AP Poll is the true NC. The Coaches poll has never been respected by true College Football fans............So with no USC, We got screwed.
The Rose bowl has, considered by most, the 2 best teams in America, right now, playing in it. Michigan must win and we must win to get the respect and the AP NC.......that's all that matters.

 

The BCS Championship has been the focus all year long. It is the true Championship for all BCS Conferences including the Pac 10. You were correct in regards to the AP 6 years ago. The winner of the Sugar Bowl will walk away with the BCS Trophy.
Unless LSU can put on Michigan's jerseys and go play in the Rose Bowl there is nothing we can do. If a Michigan win is 50% of all that matters to you than I hope you have fun at the Rose Bowl.

 

Bullsh*t wha wha wha, Yeah yeah yeah I think it should be USC in it but only because OU didn't win their conference. But the human polls are a bunch of Biased crap. That's why they instilled the BCS. On the field OU and LSU are better, have played better foes, have beaten the best in the league, even their losses are to way tougher teams. Next time, beat Cal USC, give me one other good arguement for USC, there isn't one. Don't give me because they got voted for class president, so they are the best student. And take that AL Gore winning the election bullsh*t with you. None of it matters. Those conferences voted the only poll that matters is the BCS, there is no other national championship game. You gonna tell me Michigan could beat OU or LSU 3 outta five times, bullsh*t. You gonna tell me USC could do the same? No way. The numbers and the field say LSU and OU are better. Too bad the sportswriters arent getting what they want, bunch of crybabies. They can watch that stupid chariot at home. This is why Cramer pushed for the BSC so when SEC teams rise up, they don't get slighted by the press, like Ole Miss did a few times. Michigan is gonna whoop their ass anyway. PCarrol was on TV crying about injustice, if their players watch all this, they are gonna have sour grapes too and lose focus. They better look out, cause Michigan is gonna run all over them.

First of all, the BCS does NOT crown the NC. The AP
does and the ESPN poll offers their version to the
winner of the BCS Championship game. The BCS's sole
purpose, while noble, but nearly impossible, is to
match-up #1 v. #2 in a championship game, then, the
winner gets the NC. The BCS has failed.

Back to my post: If USC wins, they will be considered
NC's by everybody except the winner of the Sugar Bowl.
Winning the lesser half of the 2 polls means nothing.
The ESPN poll has always been considered a joke.
Therefore, we must win and Michigan must win. Anything
less than both polls and our share the NC is tainted.

I think it's odd that we all love the BCS today and yet last week they were the enemy. If things had not worked out for us, I am sure we all would hate the BCS......again. I refuse to live by a double standard. I try to think of these things in an objective manner. Don't get mad at me because I am not afraid to speak the truth. We must win and Michigan must win.....simple enough?

This season is a great example of why we need a playoff.

 

Its sad that we have no playoff system and all this bs thats on
this thread means is what a screwed up system we have to
determine #1

Maybe 1 day we can update college football to the present
because its too much in the past.

Come on Red.......If we were #1 in the AP and not going to the Sugar.......you (and all of us) would be claiming that the AP poll winner was the National Champ. Can't blame USC for that one.
Anyone would take that road.

 

They aren't going to win. We needed Michigan to beat Ohio State and now Michigan will beat USC........we'll send a picture of the NC trophies to Ann Arbor as a thank you.
