What's the probability that a lot of our guys may transfer? I know this has been talked about before, but I can't remember...:grin:
For that matter, who will be asked to leave the team? What players will lose their (partial) scholarships and who will gain from the hire?
I tell you one guy who will be thrilled: Olivey I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure, he REALLY hated leaving his staff at ND, but had to for other reasons
I wondered about him, whether or not he left there on good terms. If not, then how uncomfortable he'd be with the new hire. Guess all is well then? What were the circumstances of his transfer?
I actually thought Olvey left because of the way the staff used him, maybe I'm wrong. Anyway, he can't pitch till 2008 from what I've heard.
I have heard from several people on and close to the team that J.T. Wise was thinking about transfering if Smoke wasn't fired. Not sure how everything has changed.
It was mentioned that there was a conflict between Wise and the coaching staff that even extended to Wise's dad. It basically entailed J.T. being benched for that final SEC tournament game against Alabama.
I would, but I don't have connections with the team like I've had in years past... but that may soon change... :yelwink2:
