Zero tolerance has always been a great phrase. Short, easy to remember and sounds tough.

But zero tolerance usually means using zero judgment. Schools need to treat players fairly and justly--not giving them a pass because they need them for the team, but also not treating them more harshly than other students just because they are higher profile.

Tolerance can actually be a good thing, especially when dealing with people who may be physically adult but not yet mentally adult.

I agree and don't like that catch-all phrase either. The surest way to be unfair is to be consistent.......you have to look at each situation and can't pigeon hole situations that arise from human interactions..........each has a unique set of circumstances.
