Just thinking a little bit differently than most right now..... Suppose Russell is named the starter from here on out. Suppose Flynn is a capable backup. Suppose Randall is made third string qb. <c'mon, play along with this hypothetical and avoid debating who should start, etc etc.> Randall is no doubt a young man that is dedicated to this LSU football program, the university, and this community. With that being said, if Randall can not play and start as quarterback, then do you see any ways possible for him to see game action and thus reward him for his dedication? If so, then how and where would use us him?
Randall could be a starter on the equipment team. Actually, I like Randall and I think he has some big plays ahead of him this season. Now, whether the big plays are spread out from game-to-game remains to be seen.
If he was moved in the offseason, possibly a Strong Safety. Way too late now. He'll help us at QB whether as a player or as another assistant coach to Russell.
What we have seen of Flynn so far hasn't been pretty, either at the spring game or at Arkansas State. We are going to need Randall this year. Russell just ain't completely ready yet. And damned if Nick is going to lose any games this year tyring to develop next year's quarterback.
red55, agreed with your post about Flynn don't agree with your assessment of where Russell is right now.
After seeing the way JR reads defenses and throws routes, you can't possible think he is ready to QB Major Division I ball?
if you were his bytch you would. LOL pitiful, these folks will NEVER be NFL scouts, for that matter they aren't even good pee wee league scouts. :dis:
