The most intelligent and bright young man to run for governor since Buddy Roemer, but actually motivated and possessing a proven track record of not balling up and getting caught up in a midlife crisis when the Legislature sticks out its tongue and tries to pick up its jacks...

Jindal is a much more well pedigreed Buddy Roemer, without the pappy who swindled the State as Commissioner of Administration, and without a grandma who'll run a frat house after his sexy trophy wife checks out on him when he enrolls his staff and her in weirdo self help introspective life recovery classes...

Jindal also has a true, real, and well thought out plan to redesign the higher education system in Louisiana, to help the local schools to produce more vocationally ready individuals and help LSU focus more on research and living up to its Land/Sea Grant Charter.

Jindal also has provocative ideas regarding taxation and economic development. Unlike one of his biggest supporters, Foster, Jindal isn't afraid to get on a plan.

Jindal-interestingly-hasn't gotten token support from Bollinger. Bollinger is also Foster's best friend. The owner of Avondale Shipyards in Nawlins, Bollinger is numero uno moneyman in the Repubilcan Party in Lousyana.

That Foster has backed Jindal, while Bollinger has backed a glue factory bound nag such as Hunt Downer is strange. The $ he put into his campaign has done NOTHING for him, and it seems as if Bollinger will be on the outside looking in when it comes to having a hotline to the Governor's mansion.

This puts Foster in the catbird seat if indeed Jindal is elected. While not the richest, Foster is no slouch, and will garner TREMENDOUS street cred in the part, and probably become the new power broker. Whether he serves as his own master, or serves Bollinger as a go between remains to be seen...

That's it...the stream of conciousness is done...Thoughts, anyone?

Spam would be mindless drivel someone conjured up about political rhetoric typically dealing with the philosophical and/or ideological misgivings of the left versus the right, or vice versa.

This isn't spam. I'm not paid, nor do I volunteer for Jindal. I'm just a fan of his message, and I'm articulate enough to speak it in an open forum, without the worries or misgivings that someone may mistake it for "spam"...

Care to mention who YOU actually want to vote for, or are you here to toss out meaningless, mindless cutdowns that have nothing to do with the intitial thrust of the thread in the first place?

Let me guess, you boys like-respectively-Hunt Downer and Jay Blossman, right?

Those who shrink from challenges are those that shrink from responsibility...

What are you doing on a political board when you won't vote?

One of the cornerstones of our society, and a defining difference that separates us from places like Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and other wild, totalitarian countries ruled by religious zealots who've hijacked a religion and perversed worse than any Jewish Pharisee ever could have done with the simple 10 commandments given to Moses...and you won't go out and exercise it...

Exercising your right to vote is the key to keeping America and its politics from devolving, and to keep good leaders in charge of the public trust. When you and people like you fail to vote, you are more responsible for putting clowns like Cleo Fields in power and helping them maintain it...

Ever wonder why Cleo's so powerful? It's because he formed a machine in Baton Rouge that can deliver a block vote that can give any candidate he chooses a 60,000 vote swing, on his own whim.

Since he's combined with the other Gold Dust Triplets - ie-Greg Tarver in Shreveport, and Ben Jefers in New Orleans, they've formed a Royal Triumverate that's almost unbeatable. Three men who can basically dictate who goes in what statewide elected office.

All because people like you are afraid to vote, and to help make sure people like Cleo Fields doesn't hijack the government in this state....

    Nice....Real admirable...

Aha....Well, my bad, in that case....

Do either of you, or anyone else on this forum, have a horse they're backing?

    I'm voting for Randy Ewing.

Before you skewer me, no I usually don't make a habit of voting for Demon-crats, I'm a hard-core GOP man. But all politics is local, and Randy Ewing is a very good friend of the family back home in the up-north piney woods of Jackson Parish. He's an honest man, a fair man, and a guy who, like Jindal, has plans to revamp education and make the state more business friendly. He is just conservative enough for me to happily vote for him.

He also has the endorsement of New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin. That's got to help him some, I'd imagine.

    1. Anyone but Blanco

    2. Hunt Downer because he don't like no freeloaders.

    3. Allgood, because his running mate Rick Ankesheiln is a buddy of mine.

    4. "Honest Dan" Kyle. Oops, he bailed.

    5. Buddy Leach. No wait, I thought that was Buddy Roemer

    6. Jindal if there are no "diapers and fanbelts" in his closet.

    In other words, undecided.
