    going down without a fight.

WWL Reporting (Posted on 12/15 at 9:33 p.m.)
That TAF is coming up with an extra million for Saban, which would push his package to $4 m. the source of this was Karre Johnson's show just now.

  2. I hope that is not the case, I'd rather see him go.

Same here. I have the utmost respect for Nick, would never say anything negative about him, but we will never be able to satisfy the urge to prove himself in the NFL.

He should go ahead and take this sweet deal right now, and let us move on to the next era. If he stays, this will happen next year - and the next, and the next...forever until he does decide to leave.

Thank him for what he's done, and let's find another quality character coach and get him in here and continue the program.

I agree. So then what, $5 million next year. There has to be a point where enough is enough. We are certainly paying him enough to compete with any college job. If he wants to move on, let him go.

I would rather see him stay one more year and pay him big bucks to do it. We have a shot at a great year next year, and I would be willing to spend as much of anyone else's money as possible to see him coach it!

Once one makes what Coach Saban makes, more money really won't change his life. What matters so much more than any extra money is simply what one wants.

    We'll soon find out...

RATHER SEE HIM GO? DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH MONEY HE BRINGS TO THAT UNIVERSITY, THE CITY AND STATE ITSELF DUE TO ITS ONCE IN MY LIFETIME DOMINANCE?

ok off with the caps for effect. anyhow, there is no other better coach out there and if he wants to weigh his NFL options every year. So be it. Go take a nap or lay off the message boards. He owes you nothing yet has given all that he is to this university beyond the call of duty his job requires.

Can you multiply 92,000 x $36? When is enough, enough? 10 years of losing football was enough for me. If he wants 10 million a year, he's worth every damn penny.

If he wants me to mow his lawn every tuesday, I probably will. Never believe for one second he can be replaced nor will be. Sure we can prosper after but it will be because of him, not in spite of and we will owe everything from this point on to the class and professionalism he has risen our program to.

You guys must be on the BOA. sheesh. please wake up. We owe most everything to this man for what he has done and the very least of it is money. We owe him our complete respect and gratitude regardless what the hell he decides is best. And if he wishes to return in 4 years you better damn well believe the door better be wide freaking open.

    ****end of rant****

If he doesn't take the money, we will have to use physical force.
