Here's a general question for all of those in the know. I know that the conference assigns officiating crews, but what, if any, recourse does the football coach and/or the athletic director of a school have if a given crew or one of the officials is really bad and/or biased? Can a crew or official be banned? It used to be that in high schools a coach was allowed a specific number of "black balls" for officials he didn't care for. Is it the same in the Southeastern conference? Just curious.

Last year coach Saban was asked if there were any ramifications to obvious poor officiating. He said that schools could file complaints to the league office. The league then reviews the complaint and can limit or terminate that crews games. No fines or anything like they have in the NFL.

This is not an exact quote or anything close. just what i remember from the answer he gave last year.
