Not arguing with you, but if you can "see" it making the defense worse, then you obviously have accessibility that us mere mortals do not. Bottom line, right now, there is no "fire" in this TEAM. Not just the defense, but the TEAM. You may be right that the players on the field are better than the ones on the bench, but I bet the ones on the bench have more fire...at least right now. And although they are inexperienced, they are better than the players Tulane has on the field. The same could be said for the offensive players for the most part...especially at WR.
This is looking just last last year's Tulane game. And they don't have their best RB in the game. Dang. :geaux:
I understand CParso's view, but at some point you need to infuse some passion into this defense, like Fishhead alluded to. Putting in Baker and letting him make his mistakes might be just what this defense needs. Let him crack a quarterback's face. At least it would give Sarah Jessica something to think about. Right now, he's drooling and can't wait to get at us.
I'm very high on Baker, but if he was close to being as good as the current LBs we have then he'd be seeing at least some playing time. I'd love to see him get some snaps though.
