Official LSU vs. Notre Dame Sugar Bowl Thread

Hell of a weekend. I found myself pulling for USC, so LSU could get in the Rose. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Then I couldn't enjoy USC's loss. I found myself today pulling against the SEC hoping that Florida wouldn't get in the NC game so we could play USC in the Rose.

I've calmed down now. I’m excited that USC lost & is below us in the polls. We would have beaten them by 14. I'm glad that Michigan won't be in the NC game (Big 10). I believe that LSU will beat Notre Dame by 20. I believe Michigan will win. Now, I'm not sure if I will pull for Florida (probably will). If Florida wins they will be National Champs in Basketball & Football & we will Final 4 in both. Kinda stinks. Oh well I'm rambling & I will eventually get over it. Geaux Tigers!

 

Has anyone ever stayed at the St Peter House hotel in the French Quarter? Just got what seems to be a pretty good deal on a room. Please let me know if this was a bad move if you've been there before.

Pretty amusing scenario when you think about it. For the past week, LSU had been campaigning against ND for a Rose Bowl berth. As it turns out, both teams meet one another on the playing field.

I hope LSU covers ... I'm betting more than my glass Marlin cost me ... As for Florida, they are the "cat's meow" in the SEC now ... Meyer has chewed gum ... and kicked SEC azz ... including that of your beloved & highly esteemed Lesster Smiles.

I fully expect Tebow to annihilate the OSU dee and keep them in a close game/toss up. I hope the Gators win, because Florida will make an SEC statement. Their talent still is not as good as LSU. It's a sin we're not playing in the NC game this year. Meyer can thank Zook because he always recruited.

Second year for Meyer and he's playing for a NC ... this decade, Fla has always been right behind LSU (second) in the SEC in recruiting.

LSU may have to beat Florida twice next year to get to the National Championship.

That would be a tall order for Lesster.

I really think Miles will get these kids mentally focused for an opponent they are predicted to beat. In light of the probable disappointment of not going to the Rose Bowl, I think the Tigers will go through ND like the proverbial sh*t though a goose. I hope the Irish have good copies of their last bowl victory...in 1994.
