I wouldnt be concerned just yet, I think he signs with LSU no matter what Richardson does, he said himself he wanted to compete in the SEC, so that probably eliminates UNC.
I will go there. USC is a tougher school period, than ASU. Burfict still needs to take 11 classes and improve his SAT to 900 (he's only got 800) in order to meet minimum requirements. McKnight's already had some academic struggles. He was temporarily on the bench to clear up some grades if you'll recall. Burfict has already said he doesn't like school. He has two HS friends who were in the same boat but are doing well with the support at ASU. Burfict's mom sees that as "proof" that he'll be okay there. Bottom line is Burfict's choice was an academic one and not a football one.
tulane is tougher too but if its anything like that. its not with athletes. i knew some dudes who couldnt spell their names get their C's at tulane. and at LSU too of course.
I understand that lots of athletes don't select the toughest classes or majors. But this kid is going to have one hell of a time even completing his minimum requirements for qualifying. Once that's over and he's in, he will still need to maintain his academic status. That will be easer to do in Tempe. And like I said, his MOM has seen what she believes is proof that Vontaze will do well. It's no different than kids who claim that academics are a big reason for selecting a school and then pick a school that has crappy academics. If that were true, Harvard would actually have a message board.
