1) Say what you want about offensive playcalling, but give credit to the Auburn defense. I'm not sure who some of these people think they are or if they think they could do any better, but Jimbo called the right plays. When the other teams defense is as good as Auburn, anyone's playcalling is goign to look suspect at time. 2) Having said that, Jamarcus is still tipping his hat too much on where he may throw the ball. He is coming along, but this is the one big thing he really needs to work on and that can hurt the passing game against a great defensive team. 3) Kudos to our defense. Yes, they gave up quite a few yards to Irons, but they made stops when they needed to. 4) Auburn may have missed two game winning FG's, but we also dropped two WIDE FREAKIN OPEN passes. No matter what any Auburn fan says about how they lost because of the kicker, this game was won outright by LSU... 5) What is up with our WR's and catching the damn ball? Jamarcus would have had, possible, two touchdown throws if it hadn't been for major butter fingers. My 80 year old grandma could have caught those... Overall, I am glad we won...
Since he threw the ball to his primary receiver about 35% of the time I have to disagree with that statement again, and again, and again, and again........ may as well repsond here toi the next 10 posters who say the same thing. :hihi:
You have no clue how many times he threw to his primary reciever because you were not in the huddle and didn't hear what plays were called. He does stare down his recievers and if he would have scanned the field a little more last night he would have seen uncovered recievers running all over the field. However he did do much beter with his decision making against a very good team. JR is a good QB that has the potential to be really great, wouldn't hurt if his recievers helped him a little and caught the easy ones.
Well, since he scrambled on almost half his passes and looked all over the place, I'll disagree with you totally.
Well we will definitely disagree then. Not saying he played a bad game but watch the replay today he does stare down his recievers and there was many many plays where LSU recievers were absolutely uncovered down field.
Then why were there several plays that someone was left wide open? There was a play, I can't remember when, but there was someone wide open right down the middle and JR completely missed him. I'm not down on JR because I really do like him and think he is making a lot of progress. But his one thing is that he concentrates on one receiver after hiking the ball sometimes... He has gotten better about it though.
