Do you remember back last August, when during a debate Obama advocated striking al-Qaeda in Pakistan if there was "actionable intelligence", even without approval from the Pakastani government if necessary?

He was roundly criticized by his Democratic rivals and the Bush administration for this position.

    Now read this article:
Unilateral Strike Called a Model For U.S. Operations in Pakistan
The more I hear about about Obama, the more comfortable I feel having him as commander-in-chief.

Uh, this thread mentioned one of his policies, and how the U.S. is actually using it effectively to target and kill known terrorists. I didn't mention "change" and "vision" - you did.

Brett, people like this guy are to gullable and not informed to realize or listen to Obamas position and it has to do with his race. There, look to the media for the soundbites so they can use them elsewhere. Like the change and hope comment. Thats all he can criticize him on. Nothing else. So take his comments with a grain of salt. Wait until the next media sound bite then he will have something more to say.

No one has been ready to be commander in chief since DDE. MAYBE JFK, but he was a junior officer with little strategic experience. Possibly FDR based on his SecNavy experience, though that's almost a purely administrative political position.

It's a role they all grow into. I would say McCain is the only one who can claim to be prepared for that role out of the blocks.

I also would say it's not an issue I'd advise basing my vote on.

There will be help APLENTY in that department, starting with whoever the NSA and SECDEF are and flowing on down.

You are right, but a party, shouldnt shape your moral values. I have a very conservative view morally, but you cant legislate morality. That is within the person, not something that should be voted on.

Address it with whoever you want to address it with. I guess thats supposed to scare me or make me stop.
Although, I never mentioned your name or quoted your post. But if the shoe fits wear it. I dont care what you say. I dont call everyone a racist here, and just because you are fed up of the truth of yourself, well change then, do something about it. Look in the mirror and look yourself in the eye. Just you, which I truly believe in my heart that you are a racist. Its nothing you can do or say that will make me change that. So if your feelings are hurt because you believe I am name calling and you want to run to the admins or whoever, go right ahead. I'll still be here today, tomorrow and whenever.

The funniest part of all of this is that LSUMastermind has the biggest bigot TV character ever as his avatar.

As Edith Bunker would say, "Oh, My!"

Obama has a dream. He has hope and vision. These are important and impressive qualities.

I'm looking for a candidate with a plan and some pragmatism.
