You, Sir, are a Racist, and a Bigot. No diversity in the courtroom or law school setting. you'd like that wouldn't you? Obviously you have never benefiited from a lively discussion of crack cocaine with serious input from an African of American origin? Obviously at your school, unlike at North Dakota or Michigan, you have failed to be enlightened on the benefits of diversity. Wait until Cotton Bowl gets a hold of your bigoted post.
What's the solution to nonsensical judgments like this? Caps? No, that screws legitimate victims and is the essence of wealth distribution, socialism or whatever else tort reformers throw out (wealth redistributed from bogus claimants to legitimate victims).
Some way of weeding out the unbelievably frivilous lawsuits needs to be in place. Our laws are in place to give everyone a shot at being completely equal...If someone screws someone else out of a business deal and won't repay them, sue them. If an ederly lady is sued by a scumy husband of a lady in a wreck and completely wipes out the old lady, then theres a call for action. That happened to someone I know. They were involved in a wreck which was their fault...but completely backrupting them because of it is immoral and terrible...But because of the way our system works, a person can do that.
I don't know - that's why I asked the question. But caps don't solve the real problem. The only way they could work is if you put them so low that it would be ridiculously unfair
