I am wondering about the D-Line. I was thinking that one of the reasons he came back is that he is projected as a Tackle in the NFL as he doesn't have the great speed that NFL teams look for in an end. So he comes back to LSU and gains 30 pounds or so on that giant frame of his and maybe moves to Tack;e his senior year. Oliver was our most used backup this year and he played end mostly and Pittman is an end and came in on most passing situations with Hill moving to tackle. Then you have Wroten spelling Williams and Hill at tackle, plus whatever Redshirt frosh stands out. Just a thought.

Sounds like a good problem to have.

I think it is a very good thing to have multiple guys in the same position on the D-line. That is a position where you have to go all-out on every play. Having someone come in and spell you every 2 series or so is a good thing.

Our D-line looked to be dragging in the 4th quarter of the Sugar Bowl. Now we have 6-8 capable guys that will be able to rotate in and out when someone gets tired.

    DON'T FORGET

We just picked up Marlon Favorite. He could fit right in on the D-Line. We will not have any weak spots there.

I have a feeling LSU's defense next year will be one for the record books, the national record books. With Thunder and Lightning coming back and the recruiting going on, opposing QB's will NOT enjoy playing LSU.

With the depth, I am not sure Favorite will be in the mix. Not quite yet at least. I imagine it will be Spears and Hill lining up on the ends( unless Hill wants to move in) and then have Kyle Williams and Claude Wroten on the insides. But I would love to have Pittman and Spears on the ends with Hill and Wroten or Hill and Williams...

How many player are allowed a red shirt and can any position be red shirted? If we're that deep in talent then maybe they could red shirt Favorite.
