We cannot overlook them. I remember back in 1997 when we played them in Death Valley (Dinardo and Davie), LSU was a favorite to win but they beat us on the road (although we revenged that game in S'port). Weis, as repulsive his appearance is, is still a damn good coach that should not be underestimated. They have some playmakers like Brady Quinn, Jeff Samardzija, Darius Walker, Zbikowski. What I'm saying is, LSU is the more talented team. However, if LSU is not on their game, ND is capable of winning. :helmet:
Well said...I think it is not going to be as easy as some people on this board and ESPN pundits think. We have been talking a lot of trash it is time to back it up.BCS has presented us with a golden opportunity to show the world how over-rated ND is and how good SEC can be.I hope LSU better shows up to play some smash mouth football.
hopefully the players and coaches won't take this game as lightly as some of the fans and pundits have begun to. it's notre freakin dame, miles went to michigan. i don't think he wants to lose to the golden domers.
One word in your post that stands out about that scenario. :hihi: But I agree with you, we have to play our best... They aren't Ole Miss.
The team will be up for them. I don't think they should be ranked above 20 or so, much less be in a BCS game. But that's just me. :hihi:
please........ND Sucks! Dont come here trying to hype up this game. your starting to remind me of ESPN! ND sucked Yesterday and they still suck today(even if LSU is playing them)
So you think that LSU will blow ND out of the Superdome? Be reasonable. ND is almost as talented and just as well-coached as LSU! :crystal: :helmet:
After a close fought game, the same fans who are talking about a walkover will be on the board whining about LSU not taking ND seriously. If Notre Dame can protect Quinn they will score some points. If Russell is not on his game, LSU will struggle. Hopefully we can get to Quinn and Russell is at his best.
A 5 week layoff can hurt the timing in the passing game, especially early in the game. ND is pretty weak against the run, so I won't be surprised to see us run early on. Getting pressure on Quinn will be the key. ND is 92nd in sacks allowed. LSU is 6th in sacks. Could be a long day for Quinn.
Does anyone have any injury information on our defense? Obvioiusly Beckwith is still banged up and Highsmith had to leave the Arky game early. Those are two big cogs in our defense and we will need them to beat the Irish. Also hopefully Jesse Daniels will be 100%.
