Not the Tigers Coach, but i wish i was !! :helmet: With all do respect to Les & Jimbo: I didn't post this before the game last week, but i wish i had. I told everyone that would listen how the game would unfold, and man did it ever come true, a low scoring game that is all about trying to win the mistake/turnover battle(in which we won), that comes down to the 4th quarter and likely the last drive for which we had 2, and that scenario heavily favors the home team, especially in the SEC. It seems to me that we have a potentially very high octane offense that is capable of hanging a bunch of points on the board every game we play, regardless of the opponent. I figured that just like in every big game we play, we play a conservative game plan that emphasizes defense and offense that doesn't lose it for you, very similiar to Texas A&M of years past that provided an exit to a good defensive coach. Now if you are a JaMarcus hater, close your eyes at this point. Though my favorite kind of QB in college is the dual threat guy like we have on the bench (#11), I love the potential we have with Jamarcus. I want to draw an odd comparison between Jamarcus and Vince Young, though very different in what they bring to the table, both have the ability to impact a game in a way that few teams in the country are able to boast. Mack Brown finally figured out a way to let Vince geaux, and though he made some bone head mistakes that cost his team a few points every game, he more than made up those points plus many more with his freakish ability. I truly believe that Jamarcus, in a pass happy offense (that we have seen in years past from other coach's), could put up dynamic #'s as well as open up a stagnate running game. (Contrary to popular belief, many offenses do well letting the pass set up the run !). If i hear one more person say that Jamarcus doesn't have touch, i think i might puke ! He throws as good of pass as anyone i have ever seen, both touch and bullets. I love Saban, but if Jamarcus had played every play instead of Randall, we would have won more games. Of course he misses from time to time, but show me one that doesn't. I truly believe that Spurrier or Leach would take this offense and hang 30+ on anyone they played, including Auburn. There may be some pick 6's mixed in their, but who really thinks Auburn or any other team in the SEC or the rest of the country could put up enough to beat us?? Urban Meyer would do the same thing with Flynn or more probably Perrileaux, running that zone read, but resulting in high octane offense. Is there a law that says you can't have the #1 offense as well as the #1 defense in the country?? We are doing well with Les and Jimbo, but they are leaving quite a bit on the table, and as i guy who enjoys dynamic offense, i want to see more!!! Let's try to outscore someone in the coming weeks when we play Tennessee and Florida. I know this isn't going to happen, but just wishfull thinking. No i am not a coach to answer those reply's early, but am willing to consider it if the $$ is right next time there is an opening!!! GEAUX TIGERS
