North Carolina Bison Ribeye

    Boys, our local high end grocery chain received a "pack" of NC Bison, from up around Asheville, ribeyes to try out on customers this weekend. Never seen bison in the store before.

    Now, they were extremely proud of their product but I said, WTH, and bought a 2 inch thick bison ribeye, about a pound and a quarter.

    Could only eat about 1/3 of it, but "SON!!!!!" Really lookin forward to leftovers

    If you ever get a chance, take out a 2nd and get you one. Vetty Vetty Good!!!

    Is it a little sweeter than a cow? Theyre relatively good for you too.

    a lot leaner. and a little sweet. dark red color but good.

    Isn't there something called "Beefalo". A cross between a cow and bison??
