Don't think so, he apparently isn't interested in leaving Norman, just had a kid, and turned down the Houston gig, wasn't even interested.
That's funny because he interviewed for a job he wasn't interested in and according to Houston he "knocked it out of the park"
Any thoughts on Gilbert? He did well with UT considering what he was working with, and he is a QB guy with ties to Texas high school talent. That could help in recruiting good qb's and then surround them with our homegrown talent.
I also heard Riley turned it down...Buyout is becoming a big issue for all parties involved in the Houston search.
Its interesting to me that kiffin took this deal. With his ego and him having to know this is a stepping stone position. Maybe he is smarter than I give him credit for, maybe he knows his name still has some significant tarnish on it after the cluster in Tenn and usc.
I have not heard he took a deal with Houston. Saw reports but seems like those reports are backtracking now.
