NOLA LSU to play Appalachian State in opener (New Orleans Times-Picayune)

LSU will open the 2008 football season at home Aug. 30 against Appalachian State, which shocked Michigan last season. It will be a meeting of the 2007 BCS national champions and the 2007 I-AA national champions.
