Not quite a day of infamy, but nonetheless, one that will be memorable for all the wrong reasons. TTU, I had hoped, would be the beneficiary of yet another inexplicable Mac Brown meltdown. I saw, however, a team that did not share the savvy that it takes to challenge those among the best. I will say with no uncertainty, TTU is a good team, but not one befitting inclusion amongst the elite.

As to the AU\LSU game, it is what it is. One can rationalize life itself away, and after the veneer is stripped away, I am in thrall to reality. LSU was triumphant, and through whatever pangs I suffer, I must offer my encomium to your team. My wish is for both teams to achieve their potentials, and that the competitors remain injury free. While it would take fortuitous events (from my vantage) for AU to appear in the SECCG, I will wish you continued success on your journey. You do have a team and a fan base that I respect, and we have now passed the one game that I could not proffer my partisanship.

    Guys, these links may help...

Thanks for the kind words Deceks. Y'all have a very, very good team this year. The SECCG may not happen for you guys this year but you could very well go undefeated the rest of the year and have a really good season. I guarantee you there wasn't 1 LSU fan that had warm fuzzy feelings late in the game, although some might disagree (an abundance of alcohol can play with your mind). For real though, I was worried. Close games are exciting, but I'd much rather it not come down to a missed long field goal to go to overtime.

Your QB looks like he's going to be very good. He remained composed and made some great plays.

Kenny Irons is the man. I swear that long TD run he had was something beautiful...not for us at first, but man... He's a special runner. And most people were thinking your running game was going to struggle without Caddy and Ronnie. Oh how we were wrong. And your O-line was amazing with all the holes they gave him. Didn't see that one coming at all.

I have to admit that I see a little justice in the fact that y'all lost on a missed kick after last year. That penalty that cost us the game last year was complete BS, but I feel a little better now.

As you said, it is what it is.

Congrats on the great game though. You should be proud of your team. Now go tell all your Auburn buddies to quit being so hard on the kicker.

He's just talking like that because he wants to fit in, guys! He knows LSU is a superior center for higher learning than Auburn.... :hihi: :thumb:
