I don't live in Baton Rouge anymore, so I don't particularly care. But I'm not altogether comfortable with curtailing a business's right to control their own pricing. I imagine there are some upset students right about now. http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/2503946.html
Another example of lawmakers with nothing to do but mess with people. Stupid bullcrap.......so I can still buy drink after drink till 2 am and pay full price? How does that stop drinking which I'm sure is their excuse for this frivilous crap.
:thumb:. I actually wanted a thumbs down but there isn't one. We really need a thumbs down. Governments are so good at screwing things up.
Yeah, this crap's been bouncing around the various boards for some time now. It is absolutely the most asinine excuse for legislation I've ever heard. It really gives me the redass because it was spurned by these self-righteous, holier-than-thou little sh*tbags that call themselves the 'Campus Community Coalition for Change.' I actually call them the 'Campus Communist Coalition for Change' since that's essentially what they are. :angryfire Funny thing is, I don't even go to bars that have drink specials for the most part. It just pisses me off to no end when people try to control the lives of others.
What a goofy name. I'll try to top them: Self-serving Society of Socialist Sober Sissies Satisfied Sucking Sprite Safely Scheming to Save Some Sordid Socialites Satisfying Social Situations. (Also known as SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.) Do they have any other causes, or is limited to espousing the views of Trotsky?
i dunno much about anything or whatever who what the who what who, but i will tell you one thing. when i cannot buy alcohol at certain times or sundays or whatever, i get so mad i get almost out of control. usually i forget the rule, then try to buy some drinks at the grocery store and i can't. plus by law my grocery store cant sell after 10 PM. but the goddamn place is so crowded before 10 that i like to shop around that time. i swear, i get pretty close to going postal.
Other than not being able to buy liquor at the grocery store, the dumbest thing in Houston is not being able to buy beer until noon on Sunday. When is kickoff normally? Yep, FREAKING NOON. The second dumbest thing is that liquor stores have to close at 9:00 PM! NINE. Hell, I occassionally leave work after 9:00, but can't stop at the liquor store??
can't buy liquor on sundays at all. just beer. noon til midnight in br. unless at a place that serves food. thats why god created the gator bar. i guess its no more stupid than having to stop selling at 2am til 6am. i bet the local casinos lose billions on that little law alone. just think of the number of drunks willing to sign over their mortgage after their 27th K&B whiskey disguised as jack daniels.
