Back when the ncaa was blasting Bama, I had a friend(allbarn) that asked who I would root for if Bama got the death penalty. Without hesitating, I told him LSU. He thought that I should root for the barners. I could never root for any team with a "little brother" mentality.
I agree Tide fan. I could never pull for Auburn against anyone. Your right, the mentality of the aubbies is almost childish. There fans are the worst I have seen or been around. I know all schools have there share of a$$holes for fans, it just seems the aubbies have alot more of them. They have a way of making a GAME played on the football a personal thing with our fans. I dont get that vibe with any other fan base.
The Baubies From about 1994 to 1996, most of the Bauburn fans began treating us LSU folks (always friendly, us) with intense disrespect and contempt. This Bauburn hatred for LSu continues today. For a long time, I had no idea why. Then I finally realized that the Baubies were treating LSU like they treat the Bama fans. Now, this irked me, because LSU/Bauburn can't replace the Bama/Bauburn rivalry. However, I figure that if Bauburn wants to have both LSU and Bama hate Bauburn with an intensity that will melt steel, who am I to deprive the Baubies of what they ask for? Therefore, I resolved to give those Baubies just what they asked for! I resolve to make them RUE THE DAY that they EVER uttered a disrespectful syllable about LSU, Louisiana, our people or our culture. Bauburn just plain sucks. How disgusting that they would try to steal Petrino without firing Tubby first and without even getting the Louisville athletic director's permission. The Baubies have the nerve to talk about class? Well, Baubies, we've just seen a good example of Baubie class with this latest fiasco. STAY IN HELL, BAUBURN. 31-7!! THE DAY CADILLAC GOT A FLAT TIRE!!! PS For the few Auburn fans who are actually nice and not blinded by hatred and jealously, I want you to know that my ill-will is not directed towards you. Though I don't think that you can claim that all Auburn fans are classless just because the administration is a bunch of a-holes, I do agree that there are more there than any I have seen. The only weird thing is, most of Auburn's fans are old and don't even cheer at the games (I grew up in Auburn and my parents are big Auburn fans, so I know. But I smartened up and came to LSU). Geaux Tigers!
