Have Ivan passing through Bama around Friday night, BUT the weather channel is saying that it might slow down even more which could put it coming across later in the weekend.

All this leads to a possibly resechuled of the game, which I for one would not mind. Cause that field is gonna be nasty. Especial since Aurburn already plans to leave the sprinkers on all week long.

Actually, they have it right at Auburn on Thursday am so if it goes through by then with 2 days to dry it should be OK. But, these guys trying to predict where the storm will be in 5 days is a total crapshoot.

Getting a bad feeling about this storm. I don't think anyone can have any confidence in predicting the path of such a storm when it is so far out. All predicitions had it crossing over Cuba and also had it moving quite quickly. Yet it continues to churn westward and looks highly likely to be headed for the Gulf of Mexico. I hate to say this but it looks at though either Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or Auburn, Alabama (or both) could be dealing with the affects and/or after affects of Hurricane Ivan come game time next weekend. :po:

They pegged the last storm right on the money.

The storm's path, once it hits the Gulf, is determined by conditions to the north and west of the actual storm. All indications are that those conditions will force Ivan to veer to the NNE. We'll play Auburn on a wet field but I'll play golf Saturday morning.

Other than ULM, did they play on a sloppy field last year?

Yeah but the other storms maintained their speeds right until they got to Fl. this one that was traveling at 18 mph at one point is now down to 8 and has a second eye wall forming, which means its about to get ALOT stronger.

You are right its path is determined by the weather patterns to the west and north but they have to get there at about the same time.

    Storm

Wouldn't mind moving Auburn back some. This early part of the schedule with Georgia and Florida away not to mention Auburn seems almost a back breaker to me.

I'd love to let Randall and Russell have one more game against Miss. St. to sort out the qb issues before Auburn, Georgia and Florida.
