I was not familiar with this formation when it was referred to during the VaTech game. Keiland Williams long TD run has been referred to as "The Pistol" many times on ESPN. That option play to Williams looked like a really hard ball to catch at the time - I was impressed with William for getting the ball under control so quickly. It was pitched so closely to him that I was surprised that he didn't have more trouble with it. Glad to see that he's got a great set of hands for handling the ball!
Yeah, and the speed of the play to our tun VaTech's defense. If you notice, the defenders were everywhere, pure speed and moves got him to the goal line. :helmet:
