I just saw the Cotton Bowl shirts on their website and can't believe LSU actually PAID someone to come up with logo! At least Texas had the right idea with making the horn symbol on their football helmets theirs'.I think the Tiger helmet logo kicks -ss and should (and should always be) be LSU's official ahletics logo.
The Athletic Dept. admits that they screwed up by not giving in-house and local designers a chance at designing the logo. But they spent a lot on it and have licensed it to a lot of people. We are stuck with it for a few years at least. It is not popular with the fans either. So, I expect that when Skip retires, the new AD will find a reason to replace it. Hopefullly he'll get some feedback from the fans before selecting something so unpopular. Its got to be killing sales. I don't buy anything with the new logo on it, I stick to the block letters "LSU" or the old Tiger head logo.
