Like it or not? The mention of the word human is what bothers me. Give it to the Computers ! http://msn.foxsports.com/cfb/story/3828272
The composition of that group can only lead to accusations, perhaps fairly, that there would be a de-facto big conference bias. Also, a television show airing the results....I'd watch - but it would be as bad if not worse than the issue with the AP pole which was that when one poll within the composite BCS becomes more popular or publicized than the BCS itself, drama ensues. I have an idea that I think will sove this whole mess: What if at the end of the season, the top teams played each other until only one was left...kind of like a playoff?
The term "computers" disturbs me. Sangarin had Harvard ranked above Alabama, Nebraska and Michigan State last year.
That's because SOS has been all but taken out as a factor, when it should be the determining factor. Let me say I am for the computers as long as SOS is restored.
So a bunch of has-beens are going to help decide, huh? Gee, personal vendettas against certain teams will have NO bearing on this poll!! :dis:
This list of coaches is ridiculous. Which of these old farts knows anything about the current state of college football? Is there a single active coach on that panel?
