No...you are correct.....we dropped 3 spots in the NYT and Texas is #3 in NYT......I honestly don't know what to say.....
It's easy to see what the computers look for when they rank teams. OSU is a consensus #2 in the computers and USC has an average of 3.33. LSU is almost #6 in computers. All of this is because of strength of schedule. We need teams we played to win. That is it.
I was actually shocked to see us move up to number 4 in the Billingsley computers. I think this was a pretty good week, and if Michigan can knock off Ohio State, it will set up for an interesting, final few weeks.
someone needs to explain to me how the Hew York Times rankings are so f'd up! A consensus #3 team in the polls that count is #11 in theirs? This is a great example why the BCS sucks...no logic to some of the #s at all, just some jackass' opinion of the teams he likes based of uniforms and head coaches most likely. I am pleased with this week. Now we need USM to beat TCU, Miami Ohio to lose, Ohio St. to lose, it would be nice if USC loses, and we'll be set!
