Applewhite is a big mystery. I personally think he's talking to other schools then just Bama & LSU. CNN College sports just posted Saban at Bama hired 3 new assistants today. No Applewhite is mentioned even though Bama news outlets are reporting he has been hired and will start working tomorrow. Strange.

The only thing I have been able to find on major news wires is as follows: Bama hired Bo Davis (former Dolphins assistant); Steve Marshall (Houston Texans offensive line coach); and Ron Middleton (former Tampa Bay tight ends and assistant special teams coach). I did not find any positions mentioned for them in my checking – but it was a quick check. Also, I could not find any mention of Applewhite being hired by Bama.
Another Houston Chronicle article saying Applewhite is going to tide. I'm so over this. Read in chron.com Sports Section article "Rice Moves Forward" after section Title "A Lot More Money" I can't believe Tulsa is gonna pay Graham over 1 million a season. He must have a good Pimp to. As of yesterday morning, sources in the Ath. Dept. said there was no news to report on MA. NOW, that being said I've also been told by several that it was practically a done deal...it's been fun watching this staff come together like it has. I'm sure you guys have seen reports about this guy being offered, that guy being offered...I assure you, 75% of the names you've seen haven't been offered. I know he's talked with a lot of coaches this past week...but, a good bit of that has been discussing other coaches, their history, their preferences, etc. MA is the kind of coach one needs to keep their eyes on the for the next decade...he's an up and comer, no doubt.
