Hmm, she must be like Hershel and think there may be a cure at some point, but if there is, they will be pretty useless without arms or a lower jaw bones.

As for the comics, I've been reading snippets here and there. Pretty brutal stuff once they come in contact with 'The Governor'; especially concerning one of the main characters.

Yeah I already know what you're talking about, but I don't want to spoil anymore for anyone other than myself.

Kirkman says he really regrets some of the things that happened during the Woodbury ark.

Season 3 started last night. Anyone watching? If there's a better show than TWD, then I don't what it is. Then again, I don't watch a ton of TV, but other than sports, it's the only really the only show I can't miss.

It just sucks having to wait a week to see what happens. Wish every episode was On Demand or available via stream. I know they make money off of advertising, but I would be extra to be able to watch when I wanted to.

True! Now they have to clean out a dank, dark corpse-ridden basement in order to make the place safe. Quite a task! I'd get a cement mixer and seal off any areas I didn't need--but, hey! I'm not the writer.

They are heavier on the goo this year (I read that somewhere); the sound effects when crunching through the skulls is quite something--kinda like pulling your boot from a bog & breaking some eggshells at the same time. All & all, a satisfying wet-crunchy mess!

They pulled a riot mask off of one and took half the skin off its face with it. Yuck..

Watching the episode from last night right now.

I just read this whole thread! How have I missed this thread the last two+ years??? Would have loved to get into these conversations and have some opinions about things said but since they are old, I will let them go, except for one.

I kinda thought that Lori might have been upset about her hubby killing the baby daddy, but also that her child ultimately shot a gun that killed anything, even a walker. That is the true first sign she has had of her child not being able to be a kid and growing up too fast. I don't have kids but I have to believe that I would be pretty upset about my child losing what little innocence he had left so early in his life.

Oh and I loved that Rick finally stood up to the whining assholes he has kept alive this long.

Now for this season...I am at them trying to take over the prison now.

Most of the peeps I know wish Lori would get eaten already--she's damn near more worthless--in every episode--than tits on a bull; all she does is stress out others who have more important things to do--like to keep everyone safe (including bed wetter Lori).

Also, Rick's attempt to save the vet by rapidly amping his leg? No way! Leg-to-heart circulation time has the virus going throughout the doc's body by the time that the TK was applied. Sorry, doc! Say your goodbyes...

In real life, sure, but I don't think they're going to kill ole Hershel off. At least, not yet. It's the writers' way of adding drama without killing him off, but you can bet they're going to play that story arc to the hilt.

One thing I don't understand is - if the living are all already infected and will turn into walkers when they die (if the brain is not killed), then theorectically, a bite should just be like a regular sore. What is the walker introducing to the blood stream that isn't already there?

Also, I don't know how how Hershel (or anyone) could be so lackadaisical around a walker. I don't care if I shot him in the head 100x, I'm not turning my back to one and I damn sure am not going to stand near one for any length of time. I know he was focused on finding Maggie, but you don't survive for as long as they have without being careful and your survival instincts being razor sharp.
