We recently upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows XP (added another 160MB harddrive which required XP). Everything went pretty smooth, except for one aspect of Internet Explorer. Whenever I click on a link which opens in another window, NOTHING comes up in the other window. It OPENS, but nothing is there and nothing is showing on the "Address" line. If the link doesn't require a new window, the links work fine. It's only when the link opens a new window. Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't know if it has anything to do with Windows XP, but before we upgraded to Windows XP, we never had this problem
Open up Explorer and click on Tools then click Windows Update. Run that and hopefully it will fix you up plus its a generally a good idea to do this regularly. Also, dont you mean a new 160GB drive and not MB?
I ran Windows Update on a computer the other night and now it won't even boot up to Windows. I get a black screen with some error stuff on it. I'll probably have to reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows. I wish I knew more about Linux. Thanks Bill Gates.
