This was a post of a video of a fallen soldier's journey from the airport to, i guess, someplace close to the cemetery. For miles and miles, people lined the roadside, paying their respect and waving our flag. Fire Departments had their ladders raised high like crossing swords. This took place in Tennessee if I remember right. Had music, I'm an American Soldier, also Tim McGraw I'm Already Home. It was very touching, made you feel proud to live in this land.:usaflagwa
that vid choked me up pretty bad. and i urge anyone and everyone to watch it. thanks again to salty for posting it.
i remember watching it when it was posted but i completely forgot the name and who posted it. nice memory
Well, I crunch information for a living. After 3 decades, you get good at it. My memory is unusual, though. I can't remember where I left my coffee cup 30 minutes ago, but I can remember people, events and entire passages from books that I read 30 years ago. The TF Advanced Search function is great. I searched for poster=Salty + keyword=procession. Took about 15 seconds.
my head is like that with numbers, phone number, events etc. I forget names all the time. I forgot the name of a girl i dated for about 4 months. a mutual friend would mention her and I would completely mindwipe on her name. Remember everything about her but the name.
